I would look at the Belvedere Hotel further north in midtown on west 48th street between 9th and 10th ave. I don’t know what your budget is, but judging from this hotel maybe you’re paying $ 250 a night? It depends on what you’re used to ~ but the actual location of that hotel isn’t going to be too charming IMO. Fairfield Inn & Suites New York Midtown Manhattan/Penn Station: Fairfield Inn & Suites - See 1,940 traveler reviews, 723 candid photos, and great deals for Fairfield Inn & Suites New York Midtown Manhattan/Penn Station at Tripadvisor. I could walk to Chelsea, Empire state building, the Flatiron district, Koreatown &catch subways/buses every where else. It was good for shopping and subway links. But personally I didn’t like the location that much. I chose a hotel near Penn Station on my very second trip to New York City because I thought it looked really central and in the middle of things. ![]()
